Relief DV Worker Vacancy at Brenda House - 0.8 EFT from 14.3.05 to 10.6.05 3-month 0.8 EFT case worker vacancy 14.3.05 to 10.6.05 while permanent worker on long service leave. Brenda House is a Domestic Violence Refuge and Outreach Service, accommodating and supporting women and children experiencing violence in their relationships. Accommodation is provided in the sole occupancy model in 8 separate entry points over 4 dispersed properties - see Service Profile attached. Workers are based in an office in Blackburn. An 0.8 EFT relief vacancy exists to fill the role of a permanent worker taking long service leave. The role is General Worker and Childrens Support Worker, supporting women and children in 3 crisis entry points, supporting any on-going clients in transitional housing and supporting new outreach clients according to the service quota. The appointee will ideally have a sound understanding of domestic violence, qualifications or experience to a minimum of Community Development Worker Class IIA, Year 4 and experience in providing case management services. Brenda House pays according to the SACS Award CDW Class IIA, at the rate appropriate to experience and qualifications. The worker will be well supported by the Brenda House team. The position will report to the Brenda House Worker Collective and be responsible to the Brenda House Wider Collective during this relief period.
